A typical day in my life!!

I reveal those dark brown orbs of mine as i open my eyes in the morning to shut the moaning alarm clock beside my bed. I don't wake up immediately. I catch a nap for 5 minutes which turns out to be 30minutes. Then, my parents storm into my room to wake me up. I make a run out of bed and start dressing up which almost includes me  wearily taking my shower. After this, finding a decently washed and ironed uniform is a bit of challenge. The biggest obstacle of all is finding my tie, belt and badge, the most vain component of my uniform. It takes me the whole time in the world, to comb my hair which almost resembles a jungle. By the time i am done with all this hassle, i come out of my room and toss in a waffle into my mouth, drink milkshake and set off out of my house. I commute by the school bus to and fro school and i tend to miss it frequently. On such occasions, i catch a car and go to school. We usually get through 8 lessons before school's over. Early in the morning, we have 30 minutes to ourself, when we are free to do anything we wish to do.

On a regular sports day, which is usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays, i must admit i have my adrenalin pretty high. All of my friends await, the sports period. After that period, the remaining lessons are a literal torture.

Once school is over, i go over to my bus and take the most comfortable seat. I personally prefer the back seat, here, i don't get noticed and no children are likely to disturb me.Upon reaching home, i snack on something, then read something. Afterwards I excercise for a while and take a shower, to get rid of the sweat and dirt on my body. In the evening i rush towards my piano which seems to be attracting me towards it. I play it for 30 minutes or so and get to doing my homework. Afterwards i have my dinner, and learn till my dreams urge me and put me to sleep. The day ends with a feeling of self satisfaction.

How to avoid getting teased or laughed at for getting specs!!

Here's the point:I am getting specs and i don't want to look like a nerd, So what should i do?Idea!!
I hope to share what i thought i should do to look normal as ever(i think specs make you look cool sometimes :P ).

  • When trying out your new pair of specs, check the one that suits you the best. The one you think you will look best in.I went for these rectangle Ray Ban specs, pink on the sides and black on the frames.

  • You can try various colours, designs and prints on your specs to give it a hippy or cool look.
  • However keeping the above points on mind, do not forget you should get those which won't make marks on your nose or side of your eyes.Go for light weight specs.
  • You can pair all of these with your daily school uniform and ponytail(or any other hairstyle)

Hope this helps.

Prepping for IGCSE(in a short time span)

Here's the case: You are badly stuck;Your IGs are a month away; and you have tons to revise. This blog aims at helping you through it.
DISCLAIMER: Not by IGCSE officials,Just individual tps.

  • If you happen to make any notes whilst studying all those 2or 3 years, the best is to read them.
  • Try Past papers! Do them again and again to make sure you understand the concept behind them and how to answer questions like that.
  • You can use Cambridge Guide Books( I personally do not like them but i have a few). They just give you a summary of notes in each chapter of your coursebook.
  • Purchase workbooks and practice them. They will be a lovely revision for you.
  • Check websites for summarised notes and try to understand and learn them.

I hope these few points were helpful, and you get through your exams with bright grades.

Prepping for your IGCSE!!(In a long time span)

This blog is all about prepping for your IG's in the time span of 2-3years. There's another blog aiming at crash courses and preparing for your IG's in a shot time period.I hope you will find this helpful and please subscribe for more information. Check my  My Youtube Channel and don't forget to subscribe as there are videos coming up.

Let's get back to our main topic.

Doing your IG's can be very difficult if you are unorganized and do not like to learn out of the box. I would advise you note down precisely all the important points from the chapters of your textbooks alongside with notes given by your teachers and do not hesitate to look up for extra knowledge on internet and note it down.

To get a feel of the IGs, you do not necessarily need to purchase several workbooks or guides(though i have a few :P ). It helps to look up at the Cie IGCSE website. The hyperlink i have given leads you to the subjects section of the website. You can choose any one of them you are doing and look up at the past papers and specimen papers and have a go at them. Another source is Mr.Internet( Just kidding, i mean to say Internet in general). You can look up for resources to prepare.

You should be consistent in referring to notes and studying regularly. Confront yourself with practical problems based on what you are studying( I think that's kind of their focus when setting exam papers).

Learning in a creative manner helps a lot! You understand stuff and remember them as well. You could go with making posters or flashcards, or making cookies(silly right. There's a picture below :P )
