Percy Jackson and the Olympians!!!

Yaayyy!! Finally i am reviewing a book i am totally crazy about.
This series probably needs a whole series of written text to be dedicated to it!
But here is a short post on my ideas of the plot, charcters.

Probably the most amazing feature of this book is how off  the mainstream it is. It is completely unique in my analysis. It doesn't have that typical romance setting nor does it portray specific characters as being better than others. It's plot of greek mythology is totally awesome yet expected by the fans. I love the modernisation of greek mythology being made in this series. It actually results in several enthusiastic readers being interested in greek mythology.

I love the main hero, Percy's character and naiveness. His emotions for his mother and his friends is so adorable and lovely. His loyalty sets a record for several readers. Rick Riordan sort of is communicating and radiating good and moral characteristics to others.

Another character i adore is Annabeth. Her dedication, relentless striving to achieve perfection and strength surprise me!

Grover is probably the best satyr ever :P. He and Percy couldn't get better at being buddies.

Chiron can mange to be just a very inspiring person, and deadly the next moment. Given Kronos is his father, and how he regards him, just elevates Chiron in my eyes.

Mr.D definitely adds a hint of comedy (and stupid fun which i know we all unintentionally love) to this whole series.

The Mortal Instruments Series!!

Do not take me too personally but who wants to be a werewolf or vampire here?? You will be probably surprised to know there is a race just like ours known as the shadow hunters, and they protect us(the mundanes) from demons which are trying to penetrate our earth from different dimensions. Just kidding!! This is the plot of the Mortal Instruments series written by Cassandra clair. It is action packed, and mysterious. There is a lot of suspense throughout the series. The last installment of the series(the 6th book) is yet to come this year. The protagonist Clary is a shadow hunter of the Mongestern family, however her mother flees at the time she's yet unborn, away from her scheming evil father, Valentine, and takes up a new identity. Clary lives a the life of a normal teenager, until her 16th birthday when she is detected to be a shadowhunter. The tale commences from this spot and goes a long way. There is a lot of potential in this novel, and its descriptions are pretty admirable as well!! If u want tips on faeries, vamps or werewolves don't forget to check it out :P

The Hunger Games!!

Greetings to you all and may the odds be ever in your favour.
Prim, Katniss's sister is  picked, to go compulsorily  to the Hunger Games[A brutal game organised by the capitol of Panem every year, where all participants from 13 districts have to murder each other, leaving a lone victor.], and here is where Katniss, the girl on fire makes an entry. She enacts an act of bravery by volunteering for her sister's place, plunging to her most expected death voluntarily. Who is chosen from the males, to be her fellow district competitor, the one who saved her from the brink of death years ago,Peeta. Action, rebellion and romance are all packed into this fun filled trilogy. You experience her pain, anxiety, fear, anger all at once! I think this is a fantastic book which one must really not miss. The movies were remarkably impressive as well, sticking to the plot.

Divergent the Trilogy

For the past 2 days, i found myself obsessing over the trilogy titled Divergent written by Veronica Roth. Most people tend to assume this book to be like a second hand Hunger Games, or just a substandard book, because it has a similar setting and aims the same audience, however they seem unique in their own way. In both series there are rebellions, however the reasons are different. Can any of you fellow readers figure them out? The setting of this book is a dystopian version of Chicago. This trilogy consists of DIVERGENT(#1), INSURGENT(#2), and ALLEGIANT(#3). I particularly admire the way, people can relate to the characters in the story, and feel them as well.  Somehow the theme as a whole scales down to the fact that someday or another we have to make choices, SENSIBLE CHOICES, on our own. SPOILER ALERT!!! That is what Tris( the protagonist) eventually does, she makes a choice, the one to end her life, by doing thus, she would save the world, instead of preserving her life, living happily with Four(Tobias). However she knew preserving her life could lead to a disaster, where her fellow camaraderie would lose their memory with a memory serum. The author gives rather a strong ending, which has more impact and effect on a fellow reader. She doesn’t end it like a “Happily ever after fairytale”, but in a much more mature way. The one that potrays the lessons tris learnt, that sacrifices are meant to be out of love not out of guilt. Secondly being in Dauntless, made her fearless. This story takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions; guilt; romance; responsibility; love.
It still hurts the readers to acknowledge the fact of the death, of their favourite character, they had been reading about in three stories particularly maybe volumes.

“I suppose a fire that burns that bright is not meant to last.”- Four.

Tartarus!

This post is for PJ and Heroes of Olympus fans!

Easy come, easy go
That's just how hera exchanged me
every day day all i did was to think about u
But you never gave upon me
Should've known Hera was trouble
From the first meeting
Should've had my eyes wide open
Why were they closed?

[Pre-Chorus:]
Gave you all I had
And you gave me all u had
and you saved my life yes you did
To give me all your love is all I ever asked
Coz what i really understand is

[Chorus:]
I'd fall in tartarus for ya  (yeah, yeah, yeah) - Percy
Get stabbed by Kronos for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) - Annabeth
I'd fight with Aries for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)- Percy
You know I'd do anything for you (yeah, yeah, yeah)- Percy
Oh, I would go through all this pain- Percy and Annabeth
Take all of your curses straight to myself- Percy
Yes, I would die for you, baby-P and A
coz you will t do the same- P and A

No, no, no,no

Black, black, black and blue
We drink fire from the plethegron
Tell the Gaea we  said "Hey" when we get back to where we're from
Mad Gaea, bad Gaea
That's just what you are
When you smile in my face, i feel like drowning u down :P

[Pre-Chorus:]
Gave you all I had
And you gave me all u had

To give me all your love is all I ever asked
